On July 16-26, the scientific-research center for Georgian Studies of the School of Humanitarian Sciences and Law of SANGU, with the support of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, within the framework of the project, "Regularities of Georgian-Turkish speech code mixing according to the speech of the descendants of Georgian-speaking emigrants" in Bursa and Düzce villages of the Republic of Turkey carried out a scientific research expedition.
Apart from ethnic Georgians, the members of the expedition visited the descendants of Abkhazian, Circassian, Bosnian and Bulgarian emigrants living in their neighborhood, and got to know their language situation, lifestyle and culture.
The materials obtained during the course of the scientific-research expedition, will be processed, turned into printed texts and will enter into scientific circulation. An interdisciplinary paper summarizing the scientific research expedition will be available soon.
