  • 1992 - 1993 - At the Ministry of Justice, Citizenship department, preparing the draft law on citizenship 
  • 1993 - 1999 - Prosecutor at the General Prosecutor’s Office
  • 1997 - 1998 - Scholarship of the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation for an internship with the Prosecutor’s Office and the Court of Appeal in Bremen
  • 1999 - 2000 - Judge at the Rayon Court Krzanissi-Mtazminda, Tbilisi
  • October/November 2000 - Scholarship of the Max-Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law, Freiburg (Breisgau/Germany)
  • 2000- 2001 - Presiding Judge at the Regional Court, Tbilisi, Georgia; Presiding Judge at the Criminal Law Chamber of the court of Appeal
  • April 2001- November 2006    Judge at the Criminal Law Senate of the Supreme Court of Georgia
  • Since 2001 - Lecturer at the Institute of Law of the Academy of Sciences of Georgia, special attribution: criminal law and criminal procedure in the countries of the former Soviet Union
  • 2001 - 2002  - Member of the Expert group of the Government committee on reforming the Prosecution Office and the Security Services. In this context a draft reform of the Georgian Criminal Procedure was established in cooperation with experts from Germany, USA, United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
  • September/October 2003    Research visit to Freiburg (Breisgau/Germany) invited by the Max-Planck Association
  • Summer 2005 - Political School of Georgia, organized and funded by the EU and Council of Europe (CoE), Diploma handed over by Mr. Terry DAVIS
  • November/December 2006 - Research visit to Freiburg (Breisgau/Germany) invited by the Max-Planck Association
  • January 2006 -2010 - Research at the University of Bremen on “A Comparison of Plea bargaining procedures under German, US American and Georgian Criminal Law Procedures”; the monograph established under this project has been accepted as thesis for a law doctorate
