“Discover Your Profession”, Career Orientation Project for Youth
“Discover Your Profession” is an educational initiative of St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University of the Patriarchate of Georgia, successfully implemented since 2020. The project aims to support the career orientation process for students in grades IX–XII and to help them make informed educational and professional choices.
The project brings together public lectures, discussions, and practical workshops designed to increase students’ awareness of the importance of education, personal development, and future career opportunities.
Project Objective
The main objective of the project is to introduce young people to the diversity of professional fields and support them in making well-informed career decisions. “Discover Your Profession” contributes to:
- Introducing youth to a variety of professional directions;
- Providing essential knowledge for career planning and decision-making;
- Creating practical connections with real work environments;
- Motivating youth to pursue education and personal development.
Event Format
Within the framework of the project, SANGU organizes diverse educational activities, including:
- Public lectures and discussions focused on professional discovery and development;
- Workshops and skill-oriented practical sessions;
- Meetings with accomplished professionals from various fields.
The topics of the events cover fields such as:
- Law;
- Business and Management;
- Computer Science;
- Psychology;
- International Relations;
- Humanitarian Sciences;
- And other modern and in-demand fields.
Target Audience
The project is designed for:
- Students in grades IX–XII who are exploring potential career paths;
- Parents and school representatives supporting youth development;
- Motivated young individuals interested in education and career planning.
