USAID Educating the Future (2024-2028)
USAID’s Educating the Future program helps Georgia strengthen its pre-service teacher education programs, build the capacity of school administrators to act as instructional leaders within schools, and support school autonomy policies that allow individual schools to make more decisions about how education is delivered.
Under the USAID Educating the Future initiative, the company "Chemonics International" and Arizona State University (ASU) will closely collaborate with partner universities in Georgia to ensure the quality and inclusivity of teacher preparation and education science programs. To achieve this goal, the project will assist universities in improving and developing curricula, enhancing faculty teaching and research skills, ensuring access to modern literature, and engaging local and international partnerships for academic staff and students.
The project is funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Partners of the project: Arizona State University (USA); One World Network of Schools (USA); Chemonics International; University of Georgia.
"The role of the university in strengthening the self-government of students through school networks" (2023 -2025)
The goal of the project is to strengthen student self-governments in partner schools through the introduction of a unifed/common school approach and collaboration between universities and schools. To promote the development of citizenship and democratic culture, the parties, in close cooperation with the American Academy, will work on strengthening the school network. Involving partner schools in a unifed/common school network will contribute to the empowerment of student self-governments. As part of the project, training and educational programs focused on the development of citizenship and democratic culture, as well as guides and necessary resources, will be prepared for school communities and future teachers.
The project is funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the frames of the civil education grant competition announced by the organization PH International and supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
USAID Civic Education Program aims at raising young generation with high civic awareness, actively engaged in civil processes.
