30 Years Since the Elections of the Supreme Council of Georgia on October 28, 1990

On October 28, 2020, an online scientific conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the October 28, 1990 elections to the Supreme Council of Georgia was held at Georgian University. On this day the change of government took place peacefully in Georgia. The most important event was the referendum of March 31, 1991, on the basis of which on April 9, 1991, the Supreme Council of Georgia declared the restoration of Georgia's state independence. Unfortunately, the work of the Supreme Council of Georgia was stopped by a coup d’état planned by foreign special services.
Deputies of the Supreme Council participated in the work of the conference.
