On March 26, 2026, St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University (SANGU) hosted a student scientific session dedicated to His Holiness and Beatitude, Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia.
The session was opened by Professor Manana Tabidze, who delivered a presentation titled “Evaluation of Problematic Issues of the Georgian Language in the Patriarch’s Sermons and Epistles.”
Student Salome Iashvili presented “Ilia II on the Necessity of Preserving the Purity of the Georgian Language.”
Student Elene Abiatari introduced “Linguistic Features of Theological Literature Published with the Patriarch’s Blessing.”
The session concluded with a discussion on contemporary challenges of the Georgian language.
