Screening of the Documentary Film “Viktor and I”
On March 31, 2026, at 16:00, St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University (SANGU) hosted a screening of the documentary film “Viktor and I”.
The event was dedicated to the birth month of renowned Austrian psychiatrist, neurologist, and psychotherapist Viktor Frankl, as well as the 100th anniversary of the foundation of logotherapy and existential analysis.
The film is directed by Alexander Vesely, Viktor Frankl’s grandson. The documentary was dubbed into Georgian with the support of the Embassy of Austria.
The screening was organized with the support of the Caucasus Association of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis (CALEA) and the Embassy of Austria.
The event was attended by CALEA President Nino Berdznishvili, who introduced the audience to the experiences of Viktor Frankl’s students and contemporary perspectives on the development of logotherapy.
The audience was also addressed by SANGU Professor Dimitri Nadirashvili, Head of Psychology Programs, who emphasized the relevance of Viktor Frankl’s ideas in modern psychology and education.
Prior to the screening, a short introduction about Viktor Frankl’s life and work was delivered, providing attendees with valuable context on his legacy and influence on modern psychotherapy.
