The Public Affairs Section of the US Embassy announces a competition for a book translation program by American authors. The goal of the program is to increase financial and physical access to the latest research, textbooks and contemporary popular literature for Georgian students, researchers and the interested public.
Publishing houses, public and private educational institutions can participate in the competition. In case of funding the program, grants will be issued in the following directions within the book translation project:
An applicant may submit no more than five (5) applications. The applicant can participate in the competition in both terms of the program, however, re-submitting the same application in the second term will not be allowed.
The literature selected for translation should not be already published in Georgian. The translation must be done from the original language.
The deadlines for receiving project applications electronically are:
March 29, 2023; 18:00
May 29, 2023; 18:00
Please send the project application electronically at TbilisiGrants@state.gov and include the name of the program (Book Translation Program) in the subject line.
