On December 7, 2021, student self-government elections were held at the Georgian University. A new student self-governing team was elected.
Nikoloz Sidamonidze, President of the Self-Government - It is a great honor to be the President of the University’s Self-Government. I would like to thank everyone who was actively involved in the voting process and I promise, I will do my best to justify the trust.
We held several events in December, our goal is to load student life with more interesting and enjoyable activities.
Ketevan Katselashvili, First Vice President - Due to the pandemic, we decided to hold the elections online, there was quite a lot of competition between the candidates. The self-government of the University unites 6 departments, one of which is a charity department, which we added by a majority of votes, and this is good news. I'm glad to be a member of the SANGU’s self-government. I will try to offer many interesting projects to our students together with the team.
Eva Shamkhalashvili, Second Vice President - Each member of the self-government has quite serious ideas, we will definitely implement them.
We want to give a systematic character to the intellectual project “What? Where? When?”, and, at the same time, the SANGU team will play against the other universities. With the help of the head of the Department of Sports, we plan to re-activate football, volleyball or basketball teams; The Department of Culture is planning exciting quizzes and meetings; Excursions and hiking events will resume from the spring semester, of course, if Covid-19 allows us to do so. Also, SANGU Literary Club, has resumed functioning, and I promise you an interesting year. We hope that students will be actively involved in our projects and events.
