Georgian University (SANGU) together with the Northern Kentucky University (NKU) has created a new and exclusive opportunity to receive an innovative, quality education and profession of the future. This is a joint, international, English-language master’s program in cyber security, the graduate of which will be awarded a double-degree diploma master of arts in cyber security.
On November 3, a ceremonial presentation of the program was held at SANGU. The event was attended by representatives of the Georgian government, scientific and educational circles, diplomatic corps and the banking sector.
The plenipotentiary representative of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude, Ilia II, Archbishop Jacob, whose personal initiative and great efforts resulted in the creation and successful development of this project, emphasized the importance of the joint Georgian-American master’s program.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Georgia, Ms. Kelly Degnan, addressed the audience in a rather extensive speech. She spoke about the role of cyber security in the country’s defense and the importance of the Georgian-American master’s program in this regard.
Northern Kentucky University President Ashish Wadia and Dean of College of Informatics professor of computer science, Kevin Kerb addressed the audience online from the US.
