On December 6, 2023, Archbishop of Bodbe Iakob (Iakobishvili), the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia at St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University (SANGU), held a meeting with Mikael Baker, USAID Senior Digital Development and Cybersecurity Advisor, and Kristine Nachkebia, USAID Critical Infrastructure Digitalization and Resilience Program Country Director.
Attendees at the meeting included Professor Irakli Brachuli, the Rector of SANGU, Tamaz Vachadze, Head of Administration, Inga Nafetvaridze, Strategic Relations and Communications Manager, Professor Koba Gelashvili, Head of the Computer Science and Cybersecurity educational programs, Kakhaber Revazishvili, Head of the Department of Information Technologies and Electronic Resource Management, and Kakhaber Iakobishvili, Assistant of the Plenipotentiary Representative at SANGU.
The discussion encompassed ongoing developments in cybersecurity education, the implementation experience of the joint master's degree international program in cybersecurity between SANGU and Northern Kentucky University (NKU), and strategies for advancing critical infrastructure development.
The meeting also delved into future plans and the mutual cooperation perspectives within the established framework.
