A delegation from St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University of the Patriarchate of Georgia (SANGU) is currently in the United States, conducting meetings with partners and supporters. The delegation is lead by the Archbishop of Bodbe, Iakob, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia at SANGU.
SANGU has successfully established partnerships with esteemed American higher education institutions. A significant achievement of these collaborations has been the introduction of Georgia’s first dual Master's Degree Programs in Cybersecurity and Business Informatics, in partnership with Northern Kentucky University. The program has already enrolled four cohorts comprising 120 students, marking it as one of the most successful outcomes from the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on demand, supported by the U.S. State Department.
In addition to these achievements, SANGU recently secured the USAID Civic Education Program and has become a key participant in the USAID Educating the Future Program, starting in 2024. These accomplishments reflect SANGU’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education in Georgia and building impactful international collaborations.
SANGU expresses its sincere gratitude to American partners for their continued support and values the longstanding partnership with the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi, which have been instrumental in fostering these important and strategic collaborations.
