From October 7 to 9, St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University hosted a public lecture series led by Professor Roman Strasser on the topic: “How Does the European Union Work?”
Professor Strasser spoke about the history of the EU’s formation and development, the structure and functioning of European institutions and bodies, the specific role of the European Parliament, and the process of drafting European legislation. He also addressed the EU’s impact on citizens’ daily lives, the challenges facing the Union at the end of 2024, and Georgia’s European and transatlantic aspirations.
At the conclusion of the three-day public lecture series, participants were awarded certificates. Professor Roman Strasser was presented with a certificate of appreciation and commemorative gifts by the Rector of SANGU, Professor Irakli Brachuli.
