On May 20, a meeting was held at Saint Andrews Georgian University, organized by the School of Business, Computing and Social Sciences, with representatives from the International Institute of Hospitality.
To continue fruitful collaboration, the Rector of SANGU, Professor Irakli Brachuli, and the Director of the International Institute of Hospitality, Professor Geral Wetzel, signed a renewed memorandum of cooperation.
Based on the memorandum, undergraduate students of SANGU’s Business Administration program will complete their mandatory internship in leading hotels across Germany.
The meeting was also attended by: Ursula Oppermann, International Projects Manager of the International Institute of Hospitality; Inga Nafetvaridze, Strategic Relations and Communications Manager at SANGU; Professor Levan Kistauri, Dean of the School of Business, Computing and Social Sciences; Professor Nino Damenia, Deputy Dean; Professor Niko Kvaratskhelia, German-side Coordinator at SANGU; and Tamar Nafetvaridze, Manager of Academic-Scientific Centers.
This collaboration began in 2014 and continues successfully to this day. Since the memorandum came into force, over 200 SANGU students have completed paid three-month internships in Germany, which take place twice a year — after the completion of the spring and autumn semesters.
