On April 10, 2025, at 14:00, St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University hosted a screening of the documentary film “Khevisberi – Mediators Between Heaven and Earth.” 

The event was opened by Khatuna Kukhalashvili, Deputy Dean of the School of Humanities and Law. Welcome speeches were delivered by the Rector of the University, Professor Irakli Brachuli, the film’s authors, and representatives of the Scientific-Research Center of Georgian Folklore – Mr. Amiran Arabuli and Ms. Ether Tataradze. Ms. Lia Toklikishvili, one of the film's authors, also addressed the audience.

The documentary, created by the Georgian Public Broadcaster (First Channel), explores the centuries-old traditions preserved in the Khevsureti region and the cultural phenomenon of the khevisberi (spiritual elder), highlighting its significance in the context of Georgian cultural and spiritual heritage.

The film’s authors are Lia Toklikishvili, Ether Tataradze, Amiran Arabuli, and Giorgi Kekelidze.

The event was attended by university professors, students, members of the creative team from the Georgian Public Broadcaster, and invited guests. Following the screening, a discussion was held addressing topics such as Georgian ethnography, cultural heritage preservation, and the importance of historical-cultural identity.
