On May 1, 2025, a presentation of the new book by Dr. Marina Chkhartishvili, Professor of Ecology at St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University, was held in the university’s conference hall. The book is titled “The National Botanical Garden of Georgia.”
The event was opened by the university’s Strategic Relations and Communications Manager, Inga Nafetvaridze. Welcoming speeches were delivered by Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze, Rector of the Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary; Dr. Irakli Brachuli, Rector of SANGU; as well as professors and invited guests.
The publication reflects years of scientific and educational work and offers a comprehensive overview of the historical development of the National Botanical Garden. It emphasizes the institution’s vital role in environmental heritage preservation and biodiversity conservation.
