On June 24, 2025, St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University (SANGU), in partnership with Northern Kentucky University (NKU, USA), hosted the First Tbilisi International Cybersecurity Conference (TICC).
The event was held at SANGU’s main campus, in the St. King David the Builder Conference Hall, and brought together representatives from Georgia’s and the USA’s digital governance sectors, academics, and cybersecurity professionals.

In the second half of the day, a dedicated parallel session featured graduate thesis presentations by students of the joint SANGU–NKU Master’s Program in Cybersecurity. The theses were presented before an invited academic commission and addressed key areas such as cryptography, threat analysis, legal aspects of cybersecurity, and the security of emerging technologies.
The conference also included an open mic segment, where young researchers and students presented innovative projects and research initiatives.
The Tbilisi International Cybersecurity Conference (TICC 2025) was the first event of its kind organized by St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University. It marked a key milestone in the university’s internationalization strategy and further reinforced SANGU’s position as a regional leader in cybersecurity education and global collaboration. The event is planned to take place annually and is set to become an important platform for international academic exchange and professional dialogue.
