– Why did you decide to study philology at SANGU?
I have always been fascinated by the world of language and literature. Studying philology for me is not only a professional path but also a personal vocation.
– Why did you choose SANGU in particular?
The Faculty of Philology at SANGU is distinguished by its high professionalism, modern teaching approaches, and methodologies. I knew that here I would not only receive a high-quality education but also study in a friendly and inspiring environment. That’s why I chose SANGU as my first choice, and it truly was the best decision I made.
– How do you remember your first days at SANGU?
The first days were full of emotions, excitement, and anticipation. I was impressed by the university’s architecture, library, and warm student atmosphere. I met many new people and quickly made lifelong friends.
– Which subject or course did you enjoy most and why?
It’s hard to single out a particular course because every subject gave me valuable knowledge and experience that will certainly help me in the future. The courses were not only theoretical but also encouraged analytical thinking, reasoning, and self-expression, discussions motivated me to delve deeper into various topics.
– What challenges did you face during your studies, and how did you overcome them?
Naturally, every academic year brought some challenges, but SANGU’s academic staff was always ready to support me and help me overcome any difficulties. I’m deeply grateful to them for their guidance and encouragement.
– You received a scholarship twice. That must make you proud.
Yes, I was a scholarship recipient twice, and that’s a great personal achievement for me. I’m proud that my hard work paid off and that I achieved my goals through persistence and determination. I want to inspire other students to experience that same joy of accomplishment.
– What helped you most in achieving success?
Consistency, hard work, and dedication, persistent effort always leads to results. Behind all my successes stands my family, who have been my greatest strength and motivation.
– As a student from Hereti, what does studying the Georgian language mean to you?
Hereti is a temporarily lost region of Georgia, and for us, students from Hereti, studying the Georgian language means reconnecting with our roots. When I study Georgian, I feel my identity, history, and culture more vividly. The Georgian language is the bond that connects Hereti to Georgia. It is my duty to preserve it, the heritage for which our ancestors fought, and to pass it on to future generations so that our history, traditions, and national spirit will never be lost.
– What would you advise students who are just beginning their studies at SANGU’s Faculty of Philology?
First of all, I congratulate every freshman and wish them a fulfilling and inspiring student life. This is an important stage in their lives, they should make the most of their abilities and study philology deeply, because it is our responsibility to preserve the Georgian language and pass it on with honor to the next generations.
– What is your warmest memory from your university years?
There are many wonderful memories, but I would highlight my final year, it was emotional to say goodbye to that warm environment that united us like one big family, surrounded by lecturers and classmates. There are places that stay in your heart forever, and for me, SANGU is definitely one of them.
Thank you, and we wish you continued success!
