New Memorandum Signed Between SANGU and Northern Kentucky University

The partnership between St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University (SANGU) and Northern Kentucky University (NKU) has reached a new and significant stage with the signing of an inter-university memorandum that further strengthens the long-standing cooperation between the two institutions.

The memorandum was signed by Archbishop Iakob of Bodbe, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia at SANGU, and Prof. Cady Short-Thompson, President of Northern Kentucky University.

The new agreement outlines key areas of cooperation, including:

  • Student exchange – at both bachelor’s and master’s levels, offering participation in tuition-free and paid programs;
  • Exchange of academic and administrative staff – through visiting scholars and teaching mobility programs;
  • Joint research activities – through collaborative research projects and external funding initiatives;
  • Development and implementation of innovative educational programs;
  • Promotion of cultural and academic exchange through language and cultural cooperation.

The memorandum opens new opportunities for students and academic staff and represents an important step toward strengthening collaboration between Georgian and American higher education institutions.
