In the competition announced by the Presidential Administration for the Best Georgian Student Translation Award named after Elisabeth Orbeliani Mariam Kvernadze, a graduate of the High School of Translators, has passed to the second stage.
The award named after Elisabeth Orbeliani, one of the founders and the first woman lecturer at Tbilisi State University, a philanthropist, poet and translator, housewife of the Orbeliani Palace, is given in two nominations: for Georgian translation of a prose work and for Georgian translation of a scientific work.
