On January 29, St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University hosted a public lecture by Professor David Ellery titled “2026: The Challenge for Strategy and Strategic Leadership.”
The distinguished guest was received at SANGU by the Plenipotentiary Representative of His Holiness and Beatitude the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Bodbe, Iakob.
Professor David Ellery is an internationally recognized expert in the field of strategy and strategic leadership, with 35 years of experience in foreign and public service. He has worked at the highest levels on the formulation and implementation of strategic policy, including in the areas of national security and defense.
During the lecture, Professor Ellery focused on the global strategic environment of 2026 and the key challenges related to strategic decision-making, leadership, the resilience of states and institutions, and the impact of technological change on strategic thinking.
The event attracted strong interest from students and members of the academic community and contributed significantly to deepening discussions on contemporary strategic thinking within the university’s academic environment.
