On May 31, 2025, St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University hosted the Second National Conference of Physics Teachers, organized by the Physics Teachers Association of Georgia (PTA). The general sponsor of the event was St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University (SANGU).

The theme of the conference was “Physics Education and STEM,” and it brought together teachers, scientists, education experts, and professionals from across Georgia interested in innovative approaches to physics teaching and the integration of STEM in schools.

The conference opened with participant registration and a welcoming speech. The event was officially launched by Aleksandre Tevzadze – Director of the Strategic Development of Astrophysics at the Evgeni Kharadze Institute – who delivered a lecture on “Physics Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Ethics and Institutional Policy.”

A panel discussion followed, focusing on current challenges in physics teaching. The panel featured leading education professionals: Giorgi Lomidze, Marekhi Mazanashvili, Irma Loria, and Merab Kvirikashvili, representing various schools and academic institutions.

The program continued with poster and oral presentation sessions. Physics teachers shared innovative ideas based on their classroom experience and research.
