On May 18, 2026, the student conference “Georgian Diplomats” was held at St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University, organized by the School of Humanities and Law.

The conference was dedicated to discussing the work and legacy of Georgian diplomats, public figures, and historical personalities. Participants presented papers on the history of Georgian diplomacy and various aspects of international relations.

The event was opened by Professor Irakli Brachuli, Doctor of Philosophy and Rector of St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University, who welcomed the students and participants. In his address, he spoke about the importance of studying the history of Georgian diplomacy, preserving national memory, and encouraging young people’s active involvement in academic work. The Rector placed particular emphasis on the role of such student conferences in fostering critical thinking, research skills, and professional development.

Students from St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University, Sokhumi State University, Georgian Technical University, Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University participated in the conference.

The students delivered presentations on historical figures and diplomats such as Niko Nikoladze, Akaki Chkhenkeli, Evgeni Gegechkori, Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani, Parsadan Gorgijanidze, and others.
