SANGU and NKU Representatives Hosted at the U.S. Embassy

On May 29, St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University of the Patriarchate of Georgia (SANGU), together with representatives of Northern Kentucky University (NKU), was hosted at the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi by Harvey Sernovitz, Public Diplomacy Counselor, and Sophie Bzishvili, Education Affairs Specialist from the Public Diplomacy Section.

During the meeting, participants discussed the achievements and progress of the successful SANGU-NKU partnership, which began in 2018 as a follow-up to an International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) On Demand visit funded by the U.S. Department of State.

The discussion highlighted ongoing academic cooperation, joint programs, student and academic staff exchange opportunities, and future development prospects.

The delegation also shared its vision for the continued expansion of this important partnership and exchanged ideas on potential areas of future cooperation aimed at strengthening educational, technological, and international collaboration between Georgia and the United States.

SANGU sincerely appreciates the continued support and engagement of the U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Department of State in fostering international academic partnerships and people-to-people connections.
